June 12, 2010 - A
Great Season and Graduating Golfers -
The team had a great year and would
like to thank Mike Swim & Sally Barber for all their help at
Champlain Country Club. We had a large senior class this year,
with ten seniors! Congratulations to all those that graduated,
and we may have to start an alumni tournament to get players back
together in the future. Have a great summer!
June 10, 2010 -
First Annual Bobwhite Scramble a Wet Experience with lots of Wings -
The Bobwhite golf team celebrated a
great year of golf with a 9-hole scramble on Thursday. The
winning team of Pearl, Belrose, Lovelette, and Devarney fired a
1-under 34. Pequignot and Goulette won closest to the pin,
while Cam Walsh belted a 280 yard long drive. The golf was
followed by awards and a serious chicken wing eating session, with
the team coming out on top of a case of 260 wings!

June 4, 2010 -
Bobwhites Finish Season with Best Score at Sectionals -
BFA used their home course advantage
at the sectionals to fire a season best 330 and finish in sixth
place. Tyler Pearl had a career best 78 to lead the Bobwhites.
North Country won the sectionals with a 305. Full Results

May 31, 2010 -
Champlain Set to Host North Sectionals -
BFA and MVU will host the North
Sectionals for the first time on Tuesday. Last week the
Bobwhites finished twelfth as Essex won the Metro Championships at
Kwiniaska Golf Course in Shelburne. Full Results

May 25, 2010 -
Walsh Medals at Champlain while Bobwhites Struggle at Williston -
Connor Walsh shot a 50 to lead the
BFA JV golf team to wins over MVU and Burlington. In
Williston, the varsity Bobwhite team fell short against Mt.
Mansfield, Rice, and Colchester. The Bobwhites will compete
again on Thursday at the Metro Championships at Kwiniaska Golf

May 21, 2010 -
Bobwhites Sixth at Newport, Win Two at Rocky Ridge -
BFA placed sixth at the Newport
Invitational on Thursday, and then picked up wins over Burlington
and Colchester on Friday at Rocky Ridge. They will have their
final regular season match at Williston on Tuesday.

2010 - Bobwhites Double Up at Ralph Myhre
-
BFA (348) came out on top against
South Burlington (360) and Mt. Abraham (400), but fell short against
Spaulding (337). Evan Collins was the runner-up medalist with
a 6-over, 77. The medalist was Mt. Abraham's Greg Scott (70).
The Bobwhites will compete again on Thursday at the North Country
Invitational in Newport, VT. Full Results

2010 - Collins Barefoots Career Best -
The Bobwhites had an
outstanding showing Friday at the Links at Lang Farm, nearly
upsetting one of the top teams in the league, Spaulding.
Senior Evan Collins had a career low 7-over par, 67, despite having
to play the back nine barefoot due to a blister. Logan
Goulette (68), Tyler Pearl (71), and Cam Walsh (79) also shot career

May 11,
2010 - Mayer Medals in JV Win over Thunderbirds -
BFA sophomore Josh Mayer shot
a 46 to win medalist honors by eight shots in Tuesday's JV match
against MVU. BFA shot a 212, to come out on top over MVU's
253, after totaling the low four 9-hole scores on each team.

2010 - Bobwhites Battle at Burlington -
The Bobwhites picked up a win
over Burlington, but fell to CVU and South Burlington in windy, cold
conditions. Collins and Pearl led the Bobwhites for the third
straight match with an 89 and 88, respectively. Nate
Brouillette shot an impressive 90 in his high school debut, along
with Logan Goulette (97) and Taylor Pequignot (98). The
Bobwhites (6-3) play their next match at Lang Farm on Friday against
Essex, Spaulding, and South Burlington.
May 6,
2010 - Bobwhites Double up at West Bolton -
Taylor Pequignot needed to
come in below 93 to clinch a win over St. Johnsbury and MVU at West
Bolton, and he delivered, shooting 90. Seniors Evan Collins
(84) and Tyler Pearl (88) led the Bobwhite scoring for the second
straight match. The two wins improved the Bobwhites' record to
5-1 after the first week of the regular season, with their lone loss
coming to CVU. The next match is at Burlington Country Club

2010 - Bobwhites Sweep in Home Opener -
Evan Collins (40) and Tyler
Pearl (41) led BFA to victories over MVU, Vergennes, and Rice at
Champlain on Tuesday. The match was 9 holes due to
thunderstorms. For full match results, visit the
Bobwhites page. The Bobwhites (3-0)
will play their next match on Thursday at West Bolton Golf Club
against MVU, CVU, and St. Johnsbury.

April 29, 2010 -
Spring Qualifying Shortened Due to Snow -
Luckily, we were able to get in golf
on Monday, but a monstrous spring snow storm put an abrupt end to
all golf the rest of the week. For current team roster,
schedule, and results of spring qualifier, go to the
Bobwhites page.
April 13, 2010 -
Green-Up, Pizza Putt, & the Masters -
In our inaugural Masters prediction
contest, Fernando Guadalupe was the winner. The long-standing
spring putting competition was held at Pizza Putt, and the winner
was Caleb Devarney. Today the team had green-up day at
Champlain CC, and we will be scrimmaging Colchester next Monday at
home in preparation for the upcoming season.
April 7, 2010 -
Schedules Posted & Courses Opening -
The 2010 season schedules for
the comets and bobwhites have been posted. The warm spring has
already opened many courses, and soon the teams will be scrimmaging
for the upcoming season. Stay tuned for team rosters and
future results.

2010 - Spring Golf is in Season -
Golf sign-ups have gone by and
our parent's meeting is coming up on Saturday, March 13th at 9am in
the BFA Gymnasium. The boys team will be meeting in E202 at
2:45pm on the next three Monday's (March 15th, 22nd, and 29th) to go
over etiquette, rules, and other basics of the game of golf.
Girls should check with Mr. Swim for their upcoming schedule.
